Vacherin Ltd

I have worked at Vacherin Ltd as a chef since 2010 and as a Nutritionist since 2012 where I have provided advice and support on health, wellbeing and nutrition, and helped them to create two healthy eating ranges that are detailed below.

Healthy Eating

Nutritious & Delicious 2012

I helped co-create their award-winning healthy eating range, Nutritious & Delicious (N&D) in 2012 that paired recipes with QR code technology and comprised of 186 nutritionally analysed, healthy recipes that offered four significant health benefits:

  • Energising – 47 recipes  

  • Food & Mood – 43 recipes  

  • Superfoods – 56 recipes  

  • Well Balanced – 40 recipes  

 

The range consisted of breakfasts, impulse snacks, salads, main courses, sandwiches, soups and smoothies, in clear eye-catching branding with easy to identifiable legends (see poster). The Governments traffic light labelling scheme was used to ensure there were no red levels of fat, saturates, sugars, or salt. The range became an excellent tool in helping customer realise that healthy food could also taste amazing.

Nutritious + Delicious 2021

Nutrition has rapidly evolved since 2012 and more people now want to access to healthier foods, which has given Vacherin an opportunity to upgrade their healthy eating range. This May 2021 sees Vacherin Ltd launch the second version of Nutritious + Delicious (N+D).

 

The now, much more contemporary healthy eating range, reflects the demographics of today’s busy workplace – making the range appealing to everyone, i.e N+D targets the different generations at work, plus the increased demand for fitness foods, support for the environment and for people that just want access to healthier meals. 

 

This range consists of 154 nutritionally analysed recipes separated into three distinct categories:

 

  • Strength (pre and post-workout) – 72 recipes

  • Impact – 47 recipes

  • Vitality – 35 recipes

 

This range consists of breakfasts, impulse snacks, salads, main courses, sandwiches and smoothies, packaged with stunning, clean branding (see graphic). 

 

QR codes (please scan the code) now link the user to the recipe where they can add that food directly to their My Fitness Pal app, helping diners track their nutrition intake with ease.

Health Promotion

Health Matters

Health Matters (see Switch + Save) that are monthly, themed and seasonal health promotion days that demonstrate Vacherin’s commitment to improving their customers health and wellbeing.

 

These consist of diet and lifestyle advice on a variety of topics that are both current and relevant to the workplace. Here I address some important health issues, such as stress management, or the benefits of plant based and some light hearted subjects, such as getting fit for summer and stop tips for a new you, which results in a diverse annual plan of effective health promotion.

 

Food in Focus

The Food in Focus fact sheet (see picture) highlights the nutritional benefits of seasonal foods and are produced monthly. 

 

I also assist Vacherin's clients with in-house health promotion, by running express 1-2-1 consultations, health and wellbeing talks and workshops, and cookery sessions.
